Vertical and Horizontal

Sometimes, it’s hard to see God’s mercy. Like in Babel. From the outside, humanity seems to be doing something that is extraordinary. A tower to the heavens. One people with one language are working toward one goal. But this unity is misguided. God’s concern is for our salvation, not our legacy. Sometimes saving people is messy.
