For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Mark 10:45

Serve in our church

Serving others is one of the most important next steps you can take. It's a key way for us to grow in Christ-likeness, and to live out our faith. We want you to be a part of our team!
Volunteer FAQ
How do I volunteer?
We have a variety of areas to serve in; Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, in our local community, and beyond! We recommend starting with an area that you have an interest in, or an area where you know someone else who's serving. Wherever it may be, we want to help you find your best fit. Click the link above and fill out the form to get started!
How often and in how many places can I serve?
You're free to serve as often and in as many places as you'd like, but we want you to be a healthy volunteer. We're wired to get satisfaction from serving others, so it can be easy to want to commit to a bunch of different service opportunities all at once. The Bible points us to a cycle of work and rest, and we want to help you find that balance in your life.
What if I don't like where I'm serving?
We don't want volunteering to feel like a life sentence! We want everyone to find their best fit for service, but your best fit might not always be the first place you try. Feel free to try out a new service opportunity. If you don't feel like it's the right fit, just let us know, and we'll continue trying to help you find the right fit for you.
Do I have to be a member to volunteer?
No! If you commit to volunteering, it may be time to consider placing membership here, but we believe every Christ follower is called to serve, whether they're a member of Capital West or not. There are certain roles within our leadership pipeline that are only for those who have placed membership, but there are plenty of ways to serve even if you're new!
